The Birthday Look

It's my birthday today! A year has passed. I'm a little older and a little wiser. I'm still rubbish at putting on makeup but hey, I'm having fun! And that is all that matters, right? To celebrate my birthday and the passing of the marriage referendum (Yayy!!!) my bf and I went out for dinner last night. As always I kept my makeup quite simple. I went for ridiculously dewy skin, shimmery eyes and a red lip and I thought I'd talk you through some of the products I used.

My New Favourite Falsies

Ardell Individual Lashes - Medium review
I've had mixed experiences with false lashes. Strip lashes forget about it. I just can't deal with them. But individual lashes, now they have won me over. In the past, I've tried Tanya Burr's range and some other random brands. I found some were good and others well... not so much. Recently though, my local Boots has started selling Ardell lashes and I decided to pick up their Individuals and I love them!

Rimmel's East End Snob

Rimmel's East End Snob review
When it comes to buying products, I'm certainly one for following the crowd. That's the reason why I love beauty blogs. There is usually a collective consensus of whether something is good or bad and then I can make an educated guess whether it's my kind of thing or not. Unfortunately, the system isn't infallible and no matter how much praise something has gotten and research I've done, sometimes a product just isn't right. And that is what happened with the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob.

Well, whad'ya know? I've been shopping again. Not only have I bought a few things in my old favourite Boots but The Body Shop and Marks & Spenser was also on my hit list. I got a nice mix between skincare, makeup and one kind of random item. So let's jump in a talk about these juicy buys.

The Best Affordable Cream Shadows

Cream eyeshadows and me, we just get each other. I find them remarkably simple to use, especially if you are not the best at blending shadow. While also lending themselves well to quick application. They are pretty much the whole package for me. I have a number of favourite cream shadow formulas and quite a few of them are by affordable brands. So let's have a chat about some of these great inexpensive gems.
