Haul: Boots Make-Up, Nails and Hair

Saturday, 11 January 2014

For Christmas I recieved a €50 boots voucher and I was  very enthusiastic to go in and spend that ASAP. However, as all beauty lovers know, €50 can go pretty fast in Boots so I may have over spent by just a little... I know, I'm naughty!

I seem to only have foundations that have SPF in them and as I learned over Christmas and New Years, flash photography is not kind when you are wearing SPF. To amend this I got the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Fond de Teint Gel Foundation (long name!) in the shade 51 at €14.99. After hearing many a beauty blogger rave about this stuff I decided to check it out. I have tried the original Healthy Mix foundation and was mildly impressed so I am looking forward to giving this a whirl.

Max Factor False Lash Effect is a mascara I am sure I tried in my teen years. Its just one of those products that been around forever. I decided to relive the glory days by repurchasing this. I went for a False Lash Effect Fusion Volume and Length in the shade black, which sounded good to me. The wand reminds me of Maybelline The Rocket with the small, spikey plastic bristles. It cost a €15.99 which seemed quite expensive to me for a high street mascara but lets home it delivers fluttery lashes.

My third purchase is L'Oreal Color Riche nail polish in Addictive Plum for €7.69. This shade is a lovely, deep rosy pink colour. I have tried a couple of the L'Oreal Colour Riche nail polishes before and I think they have an amazing shade range.

The No.7 Instant Radiance Highlighter is a product I have been looking forward to buy ever since I laid my eyes on it. It retails for €12.95 and is a supposed dupe for Benefits Watts Up highlighter. It looks like a lovely champagne, pink highlighter and after reading some reviews on line, it seems like a real winner.

I also picked up a Bourjois Pencil Sharpener for €3.09. Unglamourous I know but I needed a new sharpener and hopefully this one does a good job.

My final two purchases I got the new  Dove Hair Therapy Style + Care Range. I purchased the Heat Protectant Spray and the Frizz-Free Shine Cream Serum both for €5.99. I needed a new heat protectant spray and had become bored with repurchasing the Tresemme ones so I branched out to this Dove one and as a girl with thick, curly hair anti-frizz serums are my hair saviours.

I'm excited to test out theses products and expect reviews in the future. I'm curious if anyone has any opinions of these products so leave a comment and let me now if they worked for you.
