Review: Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion

Thursday, 16 January 2014

I have been a Maybelline mascara girl for a while. I've had The Falsies, The Rocket, Collassal (my fav of the bunch) and always thought their mascara were pretty good high street mascaras. However, I heard some rumblings online recently about Max Factor False Lash Effect (a mascara I hadn't tried a long time ago) and decided to check it out to see if it actually was worth a damn.

I purchased Max Factor False Lash Effect in the Volume and Length version because who wouldn't want more of both of those?  It cost a rather steep €15.99, quite pricey for a high street mascara and €5 more expensive than most Maybelline mascaras. The packaging is a sleek purple tube, nothing fancy, just a typical drugstore mascara look.

The wand is a spikey plastic wand that is a medium size, akin the The Rocket's wand. I quite like wands like this so I was happy to use it. After two coats it made my lashes look really nice. It made them quite long and voluminous and I was really happy with the results. I only used 2 coats of the mascara though as adding a third made it kind of clumpy.

I really like this mascara and was surprised by how great it is. Although a little overpriced, it works so well and I really enjoy how fluttery it made my eyelashes. I'm happy to add it to my mascara favs list because who doesn't love a good mascara right?
