No. 7 Tinted Moisturiser

Tuesday, 11 February 2014

Finding a decent tinted moisturiser on the high street is a painful experience. It is one product that drugstore companies cannot seem to get right. After extensive research I found that the No. 7 triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser was highly regarded by a lot of women so I decided to test it out in hopes of finding a great tinted moisturiser.

The No. 7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser seems to offer a lot. It claims to give natural skin, have five star UVA technology and provide 24 hour moisture. Priced at €15.50, quite a typical price for a drugstore base. I was excited to try it as my current favourite tinted moisturiser is the Dior BB cream that is a rather a bit more expensive.

However, sadly my excitement quickly subsided. First, like many other affordable bases, the shade range is pretty bad. I got the lightest shade Fair and it was so orange. I am generally used to bases being a little dark for me as I am very pale but this just didn't work. Second, I found it incredibly patchy. I had orange patches all over my face. I applied it a few times to see if it was just my skin those days but each time it looked really bad. In fact, I never left the house wearing it and removed it after a few hours as it looked that awful.

I'm really surprised by how much I dislike this product. After hearing so many people sing its praises I was hopeful that it would work for me but alas it was a gigantic fail. Has anyone used the No. 7 Tinted Moisturiser? I'd love to know your opinions.
