Review: Nuxe Creme Fraiche 24hr Moisture Emulsion

Tuesday, 4 March 2014

Nuxe is probably most famously known for the adored Reve De Miel lip balm for which I am a die hard fan of. However, apart from the illustrious lip balm I haven't heard much else about the brand. To explore the brand further I purchased the Creme Fraiche 24hr Moisture Emulsion to see if it lives up to the Nuxe name.

Nuxe Creme Fraiche 24hr Moisture Emulsion can be purchased from Feel Unique but I bought mine from a local pharmacy for just under €30, which I believe is reasonably for a higher end cream. The product comes in a rather heavy but elegant white jar which I quite liked to look of. The product its self aims to plum the skin while adding moisture which is something I would look for as I have normal to dry skin.

The cream has a nice pleasant smell that is quite relaxing which I liked but the texture of the cream was quite unusual. It was kind of... moouse/marshmallow-esq which I was not expecting. I did feel nice though and was very easy to apply and soaked into the skin fast.

I liked the cream as a light base to put under make-up but the 24 hour moisture claim is slightly misleading. It certainly didn't moisturise my face as much as I thought it would which was a lsight disappointment.

Nuxe Creme Fraiche 24hr Moisture Emulsion wasn't the product I expected. It isn't for those who long for a heavy duty overnight moisturiser but as a light day time cream for under make-up it does the job but for €30, I'm not sure it's worth it.

Have you tried anything by Nuxe? Let me know in the comments.
