Review: Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

Tuesday, 25 March 2014

Last year there was a lot of rumblings on blogs about how amazing rosehip oil was for the skin. I didn't pay much attention as I assumed it was used for scars and pigmentation issues, which I don't suffer from. But after doing some further research I realised this oil had much more to offer. So I took the plunge and got Trilogy Certified Rosehip Oil to see what it could do for my skin.

Trilogy Rosehip oil is organic (always a plus in skincare) and smells delicious. It is €19.95 for 20ml of product, which while pricey does last quite while. The oil is aimed towards all skin types as it claims to reduce scars, stretch marks but also help with dehydration and ageing skin. The bottle is a simple glass bottle with a pipette which I find quite nice.

I used this product in the evenings after my toner and before my moisturiser by simply using a couple of drops on my face and massaging the oil in. The oil felt so lovely on my face and I really enjoyed it becoming a part of my skincare routine. It also soaked in quite fast, although I did avoid using it in the morning as it is an oil and I didn't want it affecting my make-up. I found it really had an effect on my skin also. It made my skin feel less tight and dehydrated and generally just plumper. My skin felt smoother and just all round happier.

If you haven't tried rosehip oil, I suggest you give it a go. Applying this oil has become a really nice part of my skincare routine and I have noticed a difference in my skin. I am now wondering why I didn't try it sooner as I get what all the fuss was about.
