March Favourites

Tuesday, 1 April 2014

This month has been so hectic that I have had little time to think about beauty. It's been a month of just reaching for whatever is quickest and easiest. Having said that, I did find a few affordable gems that I am pretty smitten with and I have also thrown in a random favourite for good measure.

All month long I have been rocking the nude nail. It has been my favourite look. One of the polishes I have been wearing the most is Rimmel London Salon Pro in the shade Oh, Mr. Darcy!. I bought this as I am a huge Pride and Prejudice fan so anything referencing that is immediately awesome in my eyes. But this polish is more than just a name. The brush is wide and perfect for quick applications and the shade is a great grey nude. I wrote a post earlier this month about nude nails, so check that out- here.

There was a lot of talk about the Revlon Matte Balms and I was very excited about their launch. However, only one colour stood out to me in the collection and it is a gorgeous deep red hue called Standout. I love the formula of these lip products. They give moisture while remaining an opaque matte, perfect for girls struggling with dry lips but still wanting amazing matte colour.

Next product is one I discovered this month and I was very curious to try it. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is the first copy of Bioderma that measures up to the original. I use this to fix my make-up, remove make-up and find it's just a great practical product to have in my collection. Full review- here

Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter is probably my best find of the month. I love the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector and this is a perfect dupe for a quarter of the price. I love the glowy effect it gives under make-up and it is so lovely on the top of the cheek bones as a highlighter. I am very happy I picked this up. Full Review- here.

I usually wear brown eyeliner day to day but I was getting a little bored of that and I find black is too harsh for me to wear regularly but the Stila Smudge Stick in Half Moon has become the perfect product to fill the gap. This is a greyish brown pencil that is such a lovely colour. It blends so nicely, stays put all day and gives lovely definition to my eyes.

Final favourite is a random, life one. I love anything peach and this Marks & Spencer Peach, Camomile and Green Tea drink is delicious. It's really fresh, sweet and tastes delectable. Anytime I can I'm sneaking into M&S and stocking up on this as I cannot get enough.
