An Affordable Brow Product That Works?: Revlon Brow Fantasy

Saturday, 24 May 2014

The struggle to find a decent, affordable brow product has been well documented in the blogging world. They are always a shade too light or too dark, have a bad formula or just generally a little... off. However, rumors have been swirling that Revlon's newest brow product called Brow Fantasy and I have to say it is something of a little gem.

The Revlon Brow Fantasy comes in three shades ranging from blond to dark brown, the latter being the shade I purchased. It comes with two separate brow products to tame and fill in those pesky brows. First is a pencil end and second is a gel. It is very affordable at just under €10.

The recurring problem I have with eyebrow pencils is the shade range is often quite... well rubbish. But I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The pencil has the perfect brown shade that isn't too warm and orange for my dark, cool toned brows. The formula of the pencil is also waxy but not too hard so it applies with ease but also will stay all day.

The gel impressed me also. The little spoolie made it easy to brush through my brows and gave them great hold and shape. I even used this without the pencil as my eyebrows are already quite full and the tinted gel looked very nice. My only issue with the gel is that the spoolie tends to pick up too much product for my liking but a little wipe before use fixed that issue.

The Revlon Brow Fantasy is one of the first affordable brow products that has actually worked for me. The shade is spot on, the pencil and gel shape, set and tame and my eyebrows looked rather spectacular! If, like me, you find a high street brow product that works, this dual ended offering might just be the one for you.
