May Favourites

Tuesday, 3 June 2014

May has come and gone. It was a ridiculously busy month for me. Finishing exams, starting a new full time job, my birthday and redesigning my blog are are just a few of the activities that have kept me exceedingly busy. Despite the hectic few weeks, I have found myself gravitating towards certain products while also picking up some extra bits and bobs leading to an interesting few favourites this month.

The Toni & Guy Moisture Shine Spray is a product I dedicated a whole post to (HERE). I love the effect of this spray as it just makes my hair that extra shine making it look extra healthy. It's pretty affordable and easy to use. I'm very impressed.

I had heard the buzz around the Lancome Hypnose mascaras for a while but generally ignored it as my heart lies with high street mascaras. However, this was on sale for only €10 in Debenhams and I couldn't resist. I went for the Hypnose Drama version which comes with a funky, curvy wand. This made my lashes look pretty darn amazing. Separating, lengthening and non-smudgy, I really like this. My only issue is that the formula is a little wet and can take a while to dry but otherwise the formula is good enough to overcome this minor hiccup.

I reviewed the No. 7 Instant Radiance Highlighter a few months ago and quite liked it but hadn't given it much attention since. On my birthday I decided to pull it out of the back of my collection and wear it that evening and loved the looked it gave. I even got some compliments about my glow. Since then I've been throwing it on everyday and enjoying the dewy glow it gives.

The Body Shop Body Butter in Coconut is an old favourite of mine, particularly in the summer months. The smell is divine, it's super moisturising and is generally just a great product. Even my boyfriend loves this stuff so you know it's good!

These Nikes were bought out of necessity and I love them. I haven't had a pair of Nike runners in years but oh gosh, they are so comfy! I love them black and white simplicity and have been wearing them non-stop since I got them. Full post- (HERE)

These Topshop Tortoise Shell Sunnies were purchased last summer and got a lot of wear. I've pulled them out of the back of my drawer and started wearing them again thanks to the recent sunny weather. they fit my small face really well and look pretty cool if I do say so myself.

Have you tried any of my May favs? Let me know in the comments what you think?
