Perfect Summer Cream Blushes

perfect summer cream blushes

There was a time when I was skeptical of cream blushes. I just thought they would smudge all over my face, fade quickly and generally be inferior to variant. But, oh boy was I wrong! Cream blushes are now one of my favourite beauty products as they give a perfect flush with an extra dewy glow. In the summer months I particularly like to embrace cream blushes and I've acquired a few that I think are pretty lovely at giving that summer glow.

Bourjois Cream Blush in 04 Sweet Cherry

My first pick comes courtesy of Bourjois, a brand that never fails me and their cream blushes are no exception. At an affordable €10.49 in Boots these blushes are, in my opinion, the best budget cream blushes out there. They are a cream to powder formula that blends really nicely into the cheeks and they are super pigmented. I have the shade 04 Sweet Cherry, a pink with a slight peach tinge which is such a lovely hue and lasts on my skin for a good few hours. The only downside to these blushes is the colour range. Although there are four shades, they are all quite similar but beautiful none the less.

I know these received mixed reviews when they initially were released but I personally really like the Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blushes. Priced at €11.20, they are also very affordable like the Bourjois offering. These are a very creamy, wet formula that is very subtle on the cheeks and offers a very dewy look that looks very natural. I have a lovey peach colour named Pinched that has a faint shimmer. Although a lovely blush, the colour range again lets this one down as there is only 2 shades. Additionally this is a more slippery formula so may not work for those with oily skin.

Stila Convertable Colour Lip & Cheek Palette

The Stila Convertable Colours are considered somewhat of a cult cream blush product with so many beauty bloggers singing their praises and I have to say they live up to the hype. I have the palette containing 5 shades with two of my favourites being Gerbera, a lovey bright pink and Petunia, a peach/pink hue. Each individual blush costs around €20 but this palette of 5 is priced at €25 which is amazingly affordable for such a high quality palette. They are really pigmented and looks subtle yet dewy and bright on the cheeks. These are by far my favourite cream blushes for the summer months!
