The Perfect Nude: Mac Patisserie

Thursday, 12 June 2014

Well I think I have done it! I have found the perfect nude. Not too orange, not too pale but just right and it comes in the form of the gorgeous Mac Patisserie.

I've eyed up Mac Patisserie numerous times and even swatched in a couple of times. Although I liked the colour, I always thought I don't need another nude. However, I've became disgruntled by my nude collection as I felt like I still hadn't found the exact right fit for me. So I decided to go for it and finally got this lovely hue. This, like most Mac lipsticks was €19, a price I happily pay for one of their lipsticks. Patisserie is a lustre finish which is one of my favourites as it gives a little shine and life to the lips without being too glossy or drying. The colour is a peachy nude but slightly darker that your average peach nude lippy.

When I first put this on my lips I immediately knew it was the one for me. It looked so natural on the lips and didn't look too nude. It feels so comfortable and wearable, I personally throw it on going to work and feel like I am put together but don't have to worry about lipstick smudging. Due to it being a lustre finish though, it doesn't last the longest. A top up every couple of hours is enough to keep my lips looking perfectly presentable.

I have to say I can't recommend this colour enough. As a pale girl, it can be difficult to find a nude that isn't too orange and this one is exactly what I was looking for. If you find it difficult to find a nude to suit you, I'd swatch this little beaut.
