L’Oreal Colour Riche Mono Eyeshadows

L'Oreal Color Riche Mono Eyeshadows were recently released and from the moment I lay eyes on them I knew they were a product I would need. I quickly went to Boots and grabbed a couple to try in hope that they were as good as they looked.

Let me start off by stating that really like these eyeshadows. I have the shades 201 Cafe Saint Germain, a lovely taupe with a hint of purple and 206 Little Beige Dress, a shummery champagne. The moment I applied them I just knew they were gorgeous but they aren't completely faultless. So first the pros:
  • The colour range is perfect. From beautiful taupes to darker browns to shimmery light purples, this range has got a neutral loving girl covered.
  • The texture is lovely. They are very soft, creamy and smooth to apply and blend effortlessly with both your fingers of a brush.
  • They are pigmented and have an amazing shimmer on the lid. They were like no eye shadow I've seen before.
However, I do have a couple of gripes:
  • The packaging is so messy. When I opened mine they were a little broken up and crumbly. In fact I think I'll have to depot mine. Perhaps it was just the ones I bought but I think it's down to their very soft texture.
  • The labeling for these is confusing. I found it was difficult to find a shade as they all have the label nude on the front.
My little complaints are insignificant in the big picture though. These are lovely eye shadows that are perfection on the lids. I plan on picking p a few more shades as I think they are just pretty darn great.
