ren vita mineral lip balm
I am a picky person when it comes to lip balm. It takes a lot to meet my high lip balm standards with only the Nuxe Reve de Miel reaching. However, I've been trying to find a lip balm for day-to-day use as my Nuxe isn't exactly day time friendly. Enter the Ren Vita Mineral Lip Balm, a balm I bought in hope to nourish my lips with aplomb.

Ren is actually a brand I hold in high regard. Everything I have tried from them has been really lovely so I was hoping this lip balm would hold up to their reputation. This balm is no parabens, sulphates and other nasty things which is an awesome plus to this product. It also smells delicious with a tangy, fruity scent which I cannot stop sniffing. But scent and ingredients aside, does this balm actually work?

Well, it's a very pleasant balm that I could feel forming a barrier on my lips to protect them from harsh weather. It also nourished them quite well and gave an instant relief to my dry, cracked lips. I also loved the applicator as it was a lovely curved shape that fit perfectly into the grooves of my lips making applying it really easy. However, it doesn't last very long on my lips. Unlike the Nuxe balm that feels nourishing for hours, this only offered relief for a short time before I felt the urge to reapply which was a little disappointing.

This lip balm is perfectly lovely and does the job at nourishing and packing in the moisture but for a hardcore lip balm nut like me, it wasn't everything I wanted. It's perfect for throwing in my handbag and swiping on for a bit of instant relief but for true lip salvation its nothing compared to the Nuxe Reve de Miel. If your not fussy about your lip care, you can get this in for €12 in Marks & Spencers or online but for hardcore lip care girls, I'd go for the Nuxe for a sure fire lip treatment.
