Bourjois Delice de Poudre Powder & Highlighter

I've heard numerous bloggers over the past few years praise the Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzing Powder (aka The Chocolate Bronzer). It seemed like everyone who tried it loved it and I had always intended on trying it but somehow never did. Recently I decided to finally snap it up when Bourjois released the bronzer with a highlighter called the Bourjois Delice de Pourdre Powder & Highlighter.

So after all of this love being thrown at this product, what did I actually think of it? Well... meh. I have to say I was a little underwhelmed by these two. First, lets talk about the bronzer, I was expecting this to be matte and it wasn't. It had some shimmer in it that, although wasn't very visible still wasn't what I would of wanted. The color was actually suitable for my skintone as it wasn't too dark or too orange for my pale skin. I found however, that when I was applying it , the product didn't transfer well and I felt like I had to apply a lot to get any sort of bronzed effect. It was honestly a little disappointing.

On to the highlighter and I have to say my reaction to this was very similar. It was quite glittery which is something I generally dislike in highlighters. It was also not that pigmented as I felt that nothing was transferring onto my skin. I tried with my fingers and with a brush and it didn't seem to make a difference. I just felt like it was kind of a dud.

I have to say I'm surprised that this bronzer has such cult status. It really didn't impress me and the new edition of the highlighter was equally underwhelming. Although it doesn't break the bank only €10.49, it wasn't enough to sway me to love this cult bronzer. What do you think? Are you a chocolate bronzer advocate?
