What I've Been Loving: September Edition

Tuesday, 30 September 2014

Autumn is officially here and I could not be happier. I am ditching the bright pastels and embracing the moodier, dark reds and berry shades and this new colour palette is certainly reflected in the products I have been using and loving this September.  So lets take a look at what those products have been...

MAYBELLINE COLOR DRAMA INTENSE VELVET LIP PENCIL

I bought this lip pencil on a whim and was shocked by how amazing it was, as you can tell in my review. I have the shade Red Essential and it is the perfect deep red lip colour. It doesn't dry my lips, it's inexpensive and it generally just looks great. I'm so impressed.

L'OREAL COLOR RICHE EYE PRIMER BASE

I bought this L'Oreal primer a few months ago and while I thought it was good I never really gave it much thought. However, I soon found myself using it everyday and it crept in to be one of my make-up staples. What I love about it is that it covers veins and any blue tints on my eyelids, giving my eye shadow a perfect neutral base to go atop and its substantially less expensive than most of its counterparts. What's not to love?

CLINQUE BOTTOM LASH MASCARA

I repurchased the Clinque Bottom Lash Mascara after not using it for a few months and oh, am I happy that I did! This stuff is just so good. The formula never smudges and it makes my bottom lashes look ridiculously long. In fact it works so well, my top lashes always look a little deflated compared to them. I'll never go without again.

L'OREAL COLOR RICHE NAIL POLISH IN 503 ADDICTIVE PLUM

Finally, I got to bust out my favourite berry coloured nail polish called Addictive Plum from L'Oreal. This shade could not be more perfect for this time of year and it makes me really excited for the gorgeous deep nail colours I'll get to wear over the next few months.
