The Budget 90's Nude Lip

budget 90's nude lip rimmel nude no.7

The 90's inspired nude lip is at the high of popularity right now. I am loving the look but also am fully aware it's a trend I will only be wearing for a couple of months before I am over it. With this in mind, I don't want to spend €20 plus on a lipstick that I will have no interest in soon. Luckily, I found a budget version that allows me to experiment with this trend without breaking the bank.

First step in this budget 90's lip is the ubiquitous brown lip liner that was so prevalent back in the day. I choose the No. 7 Precision Lips Pencil in the shade Nude which is the perfect brownish nude liner for me. It's not super dark so that my lips look ridiculous but its also not too light, it is the perfect 90's nude colour. What I like about this pencil is that it's easy to over draw my lips a little and it sticks around without drying my lips out too much making it easy to wear all day. And at only €8.75, it's an affordable amount to spend also.

Next up is the actually lippy and I am using one that I bought a while ago and thought it was too brown for a day to day nude, however for this look it's perfect. It is from the much hyped about Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick collection and it's the shade 026.

This is a super 90's nude on me that really captures the 90's look. I dab it on instead of applying with the bullet as I find it blends in better but once applied the matte finish stays for a long time. The formula, however is a little drying so I slap on lipbalm before applying just to make sure, my lips stay moisturized. At only €6.99, these are really inexpensive and enable me to wear this fun trend without worry of wasting money on a flighty trend.

Is anyone else wearing the 90's nude lip? What products do you use?
