Mascara of the Moment - Revlon Lash Potion

revlon lash potion
I've recently found a new mascara love. It's not a newly released one. In fact I think it's been around for years but none the less I just recently discovered it and it is making me have some feels. So what is this newly discovered joyful mascara you ask? It's the Revlon Lash Potion Volume & Length and it's a pretty awesome little mascara.

I know I'm slow to get on the bandwagon with this one as I know a lot of bloggers hold this mascara dear to their hearts. I always heard that it was a good staple but I just was always enticed away by somewhat "sexier" new launches or mascaras of the moment. But after a recent string of disappointment when it came to trying to mascaras, I saw this and threw it in my basket.

I think what is most recognizable about this stuff is the quirky packaging. It's bright, colourful and fun which is quite a departure for Revlon who are usually the more sleek black high-street brand. I actually quite like how it looks. It's fun and adds a little spice to my otherwise mostly monochrome make-up collection. The wand is an old-school bristle brush that I actually quite like. It's large and gets right into the lashes and I found it quite similar to the much more expensive Lancome Hypnose mascara, which I also love.

I have to admit it wasn't an instant connection with this mascara. The formula is quite wet when you initially use it but after a few weeks it begins to dry a little bit and love began to blossom. It lengthens and adds volume, doesn't smudge and just ticks the list if what I want in a mascara. Even better it's nice and affordable, what's not to love?!
