Cult Product - Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

Tuesday, 3 February 2015

Needing a new moisturiser I ventured into Boots to see what they had on offer. Surprisingly, I noticed that they were newly stocking cult favourite Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré. I had always heard rumblings about how great this moisturiser is and seen as make-up artists proclaim that they couldn't go without it so when I saw it I had to pick it up.

To be honest my first reaction when buying this stuff was how expensive it was for such a tiny tube. It is a 30ml tube and it cost €17. I'm sure that is about the same amount as other similar products and it's quite affordable but the tube just looks so tiny. But that doesn't matter if the product is good, right?

Unfortunately, this month I was under the weather and my skin has been suffering because of it. I've had particularly dry skin especially so this stuff really was being tested. I only applied a small amount as it is very thick in consistency and once I applied it reminded me of a few products I had used before. It's just one of those old school, lets not get too fancy creams that is here only to get the job done. I actually think it did a great job moisturizing my skin and helping with my dry patches. It didn't irritate my already sore skin and just did what it said on the tin.

I can see why so many people rely on Embryolisse. It's just a classic moisturiser that you know will get the job done. I, personally, don't think I would buy it again purely because I found it quite similar to the Oilatum Natural Repair Face Cream and that is half the price. But I can certainly see why it's a classic, dependable cream in so many people's eye.

Have you tried Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré? What did you think?
