June Favourites

Sunday, 28 June 2015

Although at this moment I'm in bed writing this at midday (2 for 1 cocktails are never a good idea), it's super sunny and lovely outside in Dublin. I'm really enjoying it and I think my June favourites reflects this mood. Some brights, some light skincare, some dewy skin, let's get stuck in.

Makeup wise, I have to mention Nars' Lip Pencil in Yu. I wrote about it earlier in the month and loved it. It's been my go-to lip over the past month. It's a great lipstick for both daytime and evening as it has amazing lasting time yet doesn't dry out my lips. I really am fond of this pencil. However, I may have found an equally great dupe but more on that later...

I also wrote about The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer earlier in the month and I have to say I have become obsessed with it. The more I use it the more I love it. I use it every day without fail and cannot express how glowy this is on the skin. For summer, it's the perfect dewy giving product.

My go to eye look throughout the month has only consisted two products. First, is perhaps my favourite single eyeshadow. It's the L'Oreal Ombre Pure Shadow in 200 Over The Taupe. This is one of those one shadow all over the lid wonders that is so easy for eyeshadow noobs to use. Paired with this I've been using the original L'Oreal Telescopic. I never really got the hype around this, but recently it's really grown on me. It gives nice, defined lashes and also doesn't smudge on me while still being easy to remove. For a daytime work look, it's been doing a great job.

My last two favourites are skincare. As it's been so warm and sunny here, I have been using the Soap & Glory Sunshield Superfluid everyday. It's a very lightweight yet high protection SPF. It works remarkably well under makeup, doesn't irritate my skin and is a great fail-safe product for hot summer days.

Finally, and probably my most beloved product of the month is The Body Shop's Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask. This is so affordable and so amazing! My skin feels so soft and plump after using this. It's also very gentle and soothing. I usually slap it on and leave it for as long as possible and let it work its magic. Great job The Body Shop!
