Soap & Glory Drama Clean 5-in-1 Micellar Water

I love micellar waters. I think they are such a handy product to have, especially if you make a lot of mistakes with makeup like me. For the past year, I've been using the Garnier one and loved it, but it's not cruelty-free. So unfortunately, I had to look elsewhere. Luckily, the makeup gods seemed to notice my yearning for a new budget cruelty-free micellar water because Soap & Glory just released this one called Drama Clean and I was very excited to give it a try.

The most interesting thing about this micellar water is probably how Soap & Glory are marketing it. With their usual tongue n' cheek tone, they describe it to be a "miracle water" that does lots of fancy things. They say it "magnetises’ make-up, dirt and dead cells away" and that it is also packed with lots of vitamins making it a cleanser/toner hybrid. To be honest, I am only looking for it to do a couple of things - remove makeup without leaving a residue. If it does that, then I'm a happy bunny.

I put this to the test by seeing if it could remove a whole face of makeup, mascara and all. I found it worked well. My facial makeup was removed with ease and it did a valiant effort on my eye makeup. Maybe not as well as the Garnier, but pretty darn close. There was no oiliness or film left after. It did exactly what I want a micellar water to do.

But... it smells. The scent is cucumber and peach, which sounds pleasant, right? However, it's not really my favourite scent. I just find it a little strange and off-putting. Luckily it doesn't linger, but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't taint my impression of this water and I would prefer if it was scent free. Overall, I like it though. I'll easily use up the bottle and I'd probably buy it again because it's so readily available and cruelty-free. I guess you could say it's like not love with this one and that's okay!
