Missing In Action & Late October Favourites

Sunday, 8 November 2015

You may or may not have noticed that I've been missing in action on my blog for the past two weeks. I know, I'm bad, but in my defence I have some great excuses. Firstly, I got some quite sad family news so I had to go back to my parent's house for a few days. Then my laptop decided to start acting up. So... basically life hasn't been too kind to me. But I am back! I have borrowed a laptop and I'm finally doing my October favourites!

Let's go budget first, eh? I have two great, super inexpensive items to talk about. Over a month ago I reviewed the Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer and I shared how much I liked it. And I have to say I'm still really liking it. In fact, you could say loving it. It's such great quality for such an affordable product. I can't get over how good it is. It's perfect for dark circles, it never looks cakey and I've become quite the fan.

On to the NYX Wonder Pencil. I think I reviewed this a while ago too and I liked it. But I didn't really get it. Recently, though, it's become my best friend. It's perfect to use in the waterline and really brightens up my eyes. I also love it around the lips to shape and crisp up lipstick. It has the added bonus on coming in a few colours which I am very happy about. Usually, flesh coloured pencils are too dark for me, but the lightest shade in this works really well. So kudos to NYX for having more than one shade!

Moving up in the price scale, it's Illamasqua's gorgeous Vintage Metallix cream shadow in Embellish. This is one of my favourite shadows ever. It's just so gosh darn pretty. It is a warmish toned brown cream shadow that performs beautifully. It never smudges or creases on me and it also has a subtle yet stunning gold shimmer within which makes it that little more special. As a base or on it's own, it's an amazing product.

Lastly, it's my REN ClearCalm 3 Clarity Restoring Mask. This is my go-to mask when I feel like my skin, particularly my chin, beginning to act up. It's gentle and soothing yet gets the job done. It also smells really lovely. It's a menthol herb scent and it really clears the sinuses. It's a great one for problem skin.

Have you tried any of these? What have you been loving over the past few weeks?
