the best makeup tools

As much fun as it is to find a lipstick or foundation I like, nothing thrills me more than finding a great makeup tool. Tools are much more of an investment. It's something you will use for years to come and you need to love it. I've tried and tested a lot of tools in my time and I've managed to find a few that I consider good enough to fangirl over. And today I'm sharing them with you in hopes that you fangirl too!

Zoeva brushes
Oh, look, it's another blogger harping on about how great Zoeva is! But I must say that these are probably the best beauty purchase I've ever made! I decided to buck the blogger trend and go for the Vegan Prime Set and I adore it. There are ten brushes in this collection and there is a good mix of face and eye brushes. My favourites being the 142 Concealer Buffer and the 110 Face Shape, but the whole collection is top notch and I can't fault it. I love them.

Kevin Aucoin Lash Curler
Earlier in the year, when I was contemplating buying a lash curler, I did a lot of research. This was a tool I would be using every day so I needed it to be good. In the end, I went with the Kevin Aucoin Lash Curler and holy mo'fo do I love this curler. It curls better than any curler I've had before and it never fails to life my very straight short lashes. For anyone who doesn't use lash curlers, give this a try, it will change your lash life!

A Spoolie
An eyebrow spoolie may not be on the top of most people's "top tools" list, but I have become completely smitten with them. I love an uber brushed up eyebrow look and with a spoolie in hand and some eyebrow gel, it's such an achievable look to get. It also makes it infinitely easier to fill the gaps in your eyebrows as you can see exactly where to put product. I personally love the Daniel Sandler Brow Groomer Brush. It's really affordable and works a treat.

Tweezerman Tweezers
Never underestimate the power of a great pair of tweezers! It can mean the difference between a world of pain and a quick pinch. I have the Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezer and not only are they unbelievably cute, but they are also pretty kick-ass. They are so sharp and precise. It makes grooming and applying lashes so simple.

Boots Cotton Wool Oval Pads
Cotton pads are an essential tool for me. They may not be the sexiest item but, as someone who makes a lot of mistakes while applying my makeup, they are my best friend. I used to just throw in whatever ones I could find in the supermarket, but now I only buy the Boots Cotton Wool Double Faced Oval Pads. I like these because they are double sided. One side is soft and the other more coarse, which makes them great for removing any type of makeup. And they are large enough that you only need a couple to do the whole face. They are a must in my collection.
