Hangover Cure From Too Faced

Tuesday, 14 June 2016

Oh, hello. It’s been a while. I’ve been absent from the beauty blogging world for about two months. Sorry about that. I have been simultaneously busy and lazy and my flat was being painted so I didn’t blog. I’m back now, though. I’m excited to start dedicating my precious weekends to taking pictures of lipstick again! For my first review back, let’s start with a bang and chat about a product that is amazing - the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer.

This primer came out a good six months or so ago and I always had my eye on it. I loved the sound of it as it’s silicone free, promotes elasticity, boosts radiance, hydrates, keeps makeup looking fresher for longer and is infused with coconut water (although I’m sure that is a gimmick). That pretty much ticks all the primer boxes for me. Plus the packaging is adorbs too.

Due to this primer being silicone free, it has quite a light, creamy, almost watery texture and I love this. Nothing irks me more that a primer that feels heavy on my skin and this one, being so watery and weightless, just soaks in as if there is nothing there.

Although it’s undetectable, it still does a great job. I’ve been pairing it with another Too Faced product, the Born This Way Foundation (review to come), a base that isn’t the best for dry skin girls and it’s worked beautifully. It kept my skin hydrated and the foundation glides really smoothly and sits lovely atop my skin. Not only is it great for underneath foundation, it also works just as a day-to-day skin pick me up. When I am wearing minimal makeup I throw this on with a bit of concealer, mascara, and I feel like my skin is set for the day.

Dry, combo and normal skinned girls, I’m sure will like this primer. It’s light, it’s refreshing, it makes my skin look and feel good and it smells like a Bounty bar! In fact, the only downside is the steep price, but hey, when a product is as lovely as this, who cares?!
